Moving forward with the growing culinary lifestyle, East 8 brings to you our thoughtful concept that caters to the increasingly sophisticated palates around the region. We strive to enrich the Singapore culinary scene by introducing creativity into our cuisines.
SINGAPORE MEETS NYC.
Being in the far east and serving Asian Fusion specialties, we capitalize “East†in our name. “8th Street†is an area in lower Manhattan in New York City, where you find many diverse Asian restaurants. In addition, the number “8†means luck in most Asian cultures, hence, the inspiration behind the name “East 8â€.
East 8 builds a bridge from New York City to Singapore with our Asian Fusion cuisine. The “East meets West†inspired culinary experience takes Asian dining experience to the next level with a modern twist.
Why tapas style? Conversation is customary in Spanish dining, yet is absent most of the time in other cuisines. We want to eliminate the idea that you and the plate set before you equal to a meal. We want to encourage conversation by getting our patrons to order and share different tapas. Tapas dining style is perfect for those on a date and for those who are simply indecisive in choosing from the menu.
Why fusion? We add a new dimension to our dining experience by introducing Western concepts into Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. We focus on taste, quality and creativity in our Fusion tapas dishes and pairing them up with enticing beverages for a blissful meal.
8x8 special menu
Playing tribute to music, art, and culture is our aspiration, such that we target not only to gastronomers; East 8 intends to appeal to the artistic clientele. 8 x 8 = 8 menu items by 8 volumes in 2013; we embark on a culinary journey, bringing you fresh and uniqe ranges of dishes that are not only pleasing to the taste bud, but also to the eye. Most volumes will pertain to a great cause or phenomenon, wich East 8 strongly believes in. In the same way we acquire collectibles, each volume will carry feature ingridients and/or collaborations with our partners.
In short, the next volumes are to look forward to !

EAST 8 HAS TWO DINING AREAS, OUTDOOR AND INDOOR, EACH WITH
ITS OWN FEEL AND VIBE. IN TOTAL, WE ARE ABLE TO SEAT 55 PAX.
Our indoor dining area gives you the feeling that you are dining in a space within
a space. It is designed such that you feel like you are dining in a New York City
loft looking out the windows. During your few hours with us, you 'are' eating under
one of the Manhattan bridges. The dimly lit steel bridge above you accentuates the
New York dining experience.
Our alfresco or outdoor dining area is built as though you are dining at High Line.
The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line above the streets
of Manhattan's West Side. The faux grass on the flooring outdoors gives the
atmosphere a green feel; while the sound of the road nearby gives the feeling
that you are indeed on the bridge above the ongoing traffic.
